Here is a really neat old picture of the Third Annual Boat Ride of the Equitable Paper Bag Company at Indian Point on June 4, 1938. It's a panoramic view of the company employees that went on the boat ride that day. The picture was taken by the Standard Flashlight Company of 1595 Broadway, in New York. This company was known for taking panoramic photos. I don't know if that's where the Equitable Bag Company was located or not. I also am not sure where Indian Point is. Picture measures 30 inches by 8 inches and is in black and white. There are some problems with the picture, it has a tear in the lower right hand corner, and it is cracking a bit around the edges, and has some crease marks. Still, if it was matted and framed it would preserve it much better. Could possibly be fixed by a photo restorer. It is still a really neat old picture, I just have too many of them framed and have ran out of wall space. Great item for the collector or someone who had friends or relatives who worked at the Equitable Paper Bag Company. Looks like a real cast of characters in the pictures. I love the little boy in knickers standing on the steps off to the side. Wonder if he's part of the employee outing, or if he just wandered over to get into the picture?
