This origami bóx is a beginning-intermediate level origami project and it makes a great hiding place for small treasures. With a pair of bóxes, you can use one as the Jewelry Bóx and the other as a lid to wrap small gifts.
Make sure you follow the directions carefully and move on to the next step only when you are confident that all previous steps have been completed correctly.
Start with a perfect square of plain white typing or copy páper. Once you have mastered this model, then complete it using a colored or patterned paper, if desired. Any paper that is heavier than the average sheet of notebook paper would be an appropriate choice.
Your workspace is as important as the paper you choose. In order to achieve the sharpest creases and most accurate folds possible (crucial to the success of the model) it is very important that you have a hard, flat surface available to work on. Make your crease even sharper by running a ruler or pencil edge along each one as you work.
The Origami gift box is simple to make, and can be used to hold other origami pieces. Or important stuff, like candies.
