Kookaburra

Kookaburra. The Kookaburra is a floater and continue to fly over long distances. The Kookaburra fly better in calm environments, best in large indoor spaces if possible. These planes are floaters and long distance specialists. If outdoors gentle breezes are best for these large wing area paper aircraft. The unique landing gear on this plane add stability and make it ideal for table top or sidewalk landing practice.

Start with a medium to heavy weight sheet of letter size paper. Fold the upper left corner down so the upper left point hits the paper's right edge. When folded correctly, the paper's top edge should line up with the right edge. Unfold after the crease has been made.

THE THROW - This craft can be tricky to trim and fly. A piece of tape across the midsection will help to stabilize the flight. Add slight up elevator and make sure the landing flaps are even. Launch with a soft to medium level throw.
