Paper Decoration 43 Photos | Advent Garland Kit in Progress | 884

The advent garlands we make are a series of origami boxes on a garland. Each day you get to open a box in a count down to an event. A lot of people also use them from party favors/decorations at things like baby showers, weddings, and birthdays. There are so many DIYers out there that we started putting together kits for people to join in the fun of making these unique decorations. We string the boxes on ribbon, floral garlands, and light strings. The boxes are little pyramid shapes that open up like a flower. We customize the tags, but mostly they are done countdown style with the numbers going from one to the end (most are 12 day and 24 days sets, but we also do 14 day ones for Valentines and such). I love the origami, its really soothing and fun to do. I think next to the fairy wings we make the advent garlands are my favorite to make.
