I was inspired by my Flickr friend, Jill who opened my eyes to ''matchbox stuffing'' and the intriguing group entitled International Championship League Of Matchbox Stuffers that features this peculiar talent. I managed to stuff 55 items into this teeny tiny matchbox which measures 2'' x 2.5'' approx. Some of the items are relics from my childhood, others are gifts and epherema that gets stashed inside a bead box. I'm not a pack rat by nature, but miniature things have always intrigued me. Thanks for the inspiration, Jill. I can see that I'm much fussier than you in my arrangement of objects here. LOL Below are the macros of the matchbox, opened and closed. Yes, all of this stuff actually fit! I was truly amazed. Bus Stop Window is a TTV texture by Steffen J. There is a special group created entitled Bus Stop Window Fake TTV Pictures which feature photos that incorporate Steffen's interesting texture.

Jon - it's funny how nostalgic you get when all this stuff is gathered together. after i finished, i found many other items that i could have included, and it also inspired my father to share some of his own little treasures from his past with me. perhaps a sequel is in order? lol jill - thanks again for your inspiration! i find your own creation really stands out in the group pool - and the items you ''stuffed'' into your matchbox were very intriguing. heather - i'm glad you like this. once i found my matchbox, i was off and running. i'm hoping to see one from you soon! lol rex - thanks so much! i'm glad you like this. i arranged the items on the back of a placemat and stood on a chair looking directly down through the viewfinder. this was a lot of fun to put together - i was amazed how much of this stuff i had tucked away, here and there. lol it makes me think that a collection of any kind would look fascinating like this, outside of matchbox stuffing. flickr is a constant source of inspiration for me. now that i have your attention...are we going to see a ''snapshot'' of rex soon? i'll be watching. lol

Hi linda, i really like that locket you have - i think it is your kitty and someone else? i wanted one of those for valentines day but could not find one anywhere. also, my uncle was in the rcaf, i have some sort of silver wings pendant of his - maybe i should try this matchbox thing - but first i have to find a matchbox;) what a great idea though!

I like the little coat hanger. it seems so utilitarian at first, and unlike the other objects, is not ornate in the least. yet what could you actually hang on it at that size? :-) that is a lot of stuff, linda. i guess there was no room left for even one match!
