On Heavy Rain, why does Ethan have blackouts?
And why does he always end up with an origami figure in his hand?

It was assumed that the blackouts were caused by the trauma of the accident with Jason. But the Origami killer had obviously had Ethan pinned as a target long before everything happened, which gave him some serious time to research Ethan. So this leads one to believe Scott knew about the blackouts. He took advantage of this by drugging Ethan into a blackout, and Ethan wouldn't know the difference. I'm assuming Scott placed the Origami figures in Ethan's hands while he was out in order to try and pin the identity of the Origami Killer on somebody else, thus removing him from any suspicion.
