Question: Can I play Heavy Rain without the origami piece?

I bought a used copy of Heavy Rain. When I was installing it, it gave me instructions for folding the origami. Only problem is, I have no origami! Apparently, the game's original owner didn't include it when he traded it in. Is the origami piece essential to the game? Can I go ahead and start without it? Or should I try and order one online first? Lol! Boy do I feel stupid! LMFAO!!! I didn't know if it came into play in the game to give you clues or what. Well, I guess that is a pretty good idea on Sony's part. Give them something to do while they wait. If I had the origami piece I wouldn't have smoked two cigarettes while I waited.
