Clean, simple crafts?

Question: Clean, simple crafts?

I am going to be volunteering at a hospital and my job is to bring crafts around for either young patients or visitors to do while waiting. We are limited to a smallish cart. I need ideas for crafts that are simple enough to do but not very messy (things with glue are probably not the best). I've already considered origami and finger knitting, but what else can be done?

I would suggest you go to Pinterest. Pinterest is an online pinboard that has hundreds and thousands of super cute and easy crafts. But if you're looking for a straight-forward answer, I would suggest getting: *Plain White Paper (with no lines) *White Crayon/s *Watercolor paint *Small paintbrushes You get the white paper and draw whatever little designs or doodles you want on the paper, since you're using white crayon it will be hard/impossible to see. You then get whatever color of paint you want and paint over the white crayon, the white crayon will leave an imprint of whatever you drew with your white crayon. Here's what it SHOULD look like ->

Lots of cheap colorful beads to make wrist bands or bracelets or ??? using small stirring straws for "needles" pre-glued on lengths of string or elastic then cut off and tied. Or make "needles" by cutting string and dipping end in glue to have a 1" or more of stiffness.

The DIY projects are not traditional step by step instructions but more a general idea to help others create their own designs!! I like to up-cycle (transform trash into treasures) so a lot of the stuff I use is usually found around the house or very inexpensive to buy! The blog site is
