greetings from Leipzig to Calvin , the Parisian Capitoline Wolf , the Lausannian Lion of Justice, Prof. Hauser , and the flower sphinx from the mascot of the trade fair in Leipzig. Last weekend I got a job at the trade fair for hobbies and games in Leipzig. It was hard work and full of fun. One of the best things was the old mascot of the traditional trade fair in Leipzig, the ''Messemännchen'', at the entrance of the fair hall. It is some kind of childhood memory, because the mascot was sold as a puppet in GDR-time. Some of my friends had it too and I always liked it so much.

1. you're maybe right, or it symbolises a new continent in the indic 2. it was not that high as it may look, so i only had to stand on tiptoes.

Delightful -- i love such mascots. did the ddr really have global trade? i had some idea that they were restricted to trading with the warsaw pact nations.
