Paper Basilisk 1 Photos | Cockatrice CP | 400

A CP for my cockatrice design. I have been working on this design all month and I finally came up with something I am happy with. Everything suddenly came together a little after I decided to put the tail in the middle. The blue lines are references and they all are multiples of 22.5 degrees. I forgot to mark it, but the point where the blue lines meet (the tip of the tail) is 3/7 in from the left and bottom edges. See the folded model here.

3/7... good choice! interesting having the tail come from the middle... it makes a lot of sense after-the-fact while looking at your completed model, but i'm sure it wasn't as obvious without the solution in front of you xd... i guess the requirement of longer legs kinda limits your use of that corner... what is it being used for anyhow?

I started with the tail from the corner and a structure i kinda liked built off of it, so that was probably what was limiting me from seeing the solution of putting the tail in the middle. the lower left corner isn't really being used for anything-some of it is just wasted paper, and the 2 legs (edge flaps) touch there.
