Good first attempt and it's seems functional. i just got the 2011/2012 bushlore with a nice sheath, but also decided to make a horizontal carry sheath with belt/pouch - fire steel harness, i'll be posting it over the next few days.

@ritchiem420 thanks for the comments mate. in my video called ' two nights in the woods' you can see the knife in action. as to your questions ; its not that easy to sharpen but once sharp it holds an edge extremely well, it does throw a really good spark, it is not very sharp out of the box and will require a long sharpening/ reprofiling session. hope this helps!

@sweetypie000 you can use paracord to lash a pouch onto the sheath. then you would have a compartment and paracord in case of an emergency. and a larger pouch can facilitate more stuff than just a firesteel.

Hello, love the reviews! i am very interested in this knife love the way it looks and want a bushcraft knife very badly and i don't want to spend alot of money on a knife that i am going to take into the bush and beat the crap out of. all of the reviews for this knife are table top and just peaple showing it off in their hands. so my question is how is it holding up, is it easy to sharpen, does it hold the edge, does it through a good spark , etc. your feed back would be greatly appreciated.

That helps tremendously! i kinda figured the reprofiling from all the reviews but shouldn't be a problem i have a work shop with just about everything. how do you feel about the handle? i have been working on one of my own and i am trying to decide if i want to use the walnut my friend brought me from south america or if i want to use rubber scales i have both so not sure and i am debating leather or kydex for the sheath, but leaning towards the leather just thinks it fits that style.
